Chico's Bar チコーズバー　　　

Wow, what a weekend...Friday night was rockin at Chico's as everyone was getting pumped for the big day. Then, Saturday the skies cleared giving us one of the best days ever. The always dependable jump-building team of Kaname, Yoshi,Yuya, and Red had been working on the jump park for 2 weeks and after a bit of a clean-up, we were ready to go. A group of 25-30 showed up and displayed some huge airs, crashes, even a couple of backflips were thrown out there. The event was held in dedication to Chico aka Jess Ripper as he had to tough it out at home for this year's event. Everyone threw it a bit harder knowing Chico would've been cranking out some nasty tricks, or crashes at least! The B-B-Q, tunes, and cave kept everyone rockin throughout the day and the 2007 Phat Air was a huge success, thanks to all who showed up, helped out, then partied until the early mornin'!! Also, thanks to DJ JJ and krew for the sweet tunes and to Shoji from Dohoku Shinkou for the 9000yen donation for the jan-ken comp. Here are a few of the results of the comp, along with some photos.

Phattest Air - Chris 'Snoochies' Hatch, flew through his first few jumps - he was flyyyyyyyyyyying!!
Best trick - Tanner - 720s and backflips - unreal!
Best crash - Yuya, as always given 'er and payin for it! Ash was a close second here!
Best injury - Kris "Hollywood", "KAS", "Heif", Keith - black eye gained sympathy and made the BoozKrew rookie look even tougher.
Best lady - Jasmine and Ash goin harder than most of the dudes!
Most drunk (at the event) - Flanno, partyin and rippin it all weekend.
Most drunk (at the party) - Jan and Red, Fuji makes u wanna party!
Best rookie - Jack, made it to the event after a couple of years of tryin to get there.
Best support - Red, Amelia, Gabby, Keala, Mark, and everyone who showed up!!

Hello to all of our friends out there! Big news: Jess will be released from prison, I mean, hospital on Friday, March 16th. We will be having a Welcome Back party on Saturday Night at 9:00pm - JC Tanks on special. Also, as it is St. Patrick's Day, Bailey's, Irish Whiskey, and green beer will be on special as well.

Also, a reminder - the annual Phat Air will be on Saturday, March 24th - BBQ and jumps at noon at Kamui (just over the hill from the gondola). Nomihoudai and prizes at Chico's at 8pm, followed by DJ JJ and Krew.

Update on Jess Ripper aka Chico Gonzalez - he's already walking a bit, getting closer to being released and getting ready to party. Ahead of schedule, get ready for his Welcome Back party TBA!

A big weekend around Chico's. Saturday sees Ken Foye turn the big 4-0. Come join him in celebrating. Sunday, the Spray krew and Chico's are putting on the first Rail Jam - come watch and party later at Chico's, fun starts at 11am at Kamui, then 5pm at Chico's.
